Emily Chalmers
Emily Chalmers, from Pittsburgh, PA, started dancing at the age of 3 and at the age of 10, she began training at the Pittsburgh Youth Ballet under the direction of Jean Gedeon. Throughout high school, Emily had the opportunity to train with teachers from the New York City Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, and Pittsburgh Ballet Theater and perform works such as The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, and George Balanchine's Serenade. During her summers, she attended Ballet Magnificat's Summer Dance Intensive and after graduating high school moved down to Jackson, MS to dance with them for several years. Since leaving Ballet Mag, Emily has continued to perform and teach ballet abroad in India and South America, as well as teaching ballet and ballroom dance in local studios in Pittsburgh, PA. She is so excited to share her ballet and pointe expertise with the Pep & Pizzazz family!
