6 week sessions - Wednesday from 7:00pm - 8:00pm

Each session is for students aged 18 and up. All sessions will run 6 weeks with 3-4 off in between. I will rotate dance genres throughout the season. YES, I would love for this to be a recital class! When the time comes, we as a group can discuss which genre we would like to perform. Recital is tentatively scheduled for June 20 & 21. We’ll have lots of time!

Session I

8/14/19 - 9/18/19

Jazz Baby!

This session will cover basic Jazz technique. I’ll incorporate a barre/center warm up, move to progressions (across the floor) and end the class with a combination. I hope to add on to the combination each week, so by the end of the session, the group will have a full dance routine completed, approx 1 1/2 minutes long.

Students will work on and increase flexibility, strength, ease of movement and memory (choreography).
Attire is comfortable clothing, yoga pants/capris, snug fitting top, jazz shoes or you may dance in socks.

Session II
10/16/10 - 11/20/19

“Ladies and gentleman, a TAP dance”
This session will cover basic Tap technique. We’ll start with a center warm up, move to progressions (across the floor) and end the class with a combination. I hope to add on to the combination each week, so by the end of the session, the group will have a full dance routine completed, approx 1 1/2 minutes long.
Students will work on timing, creating solid sounds, syncopation (sound on the off beat) and memory (choreography).
Attire is comfortable clothing, yoga pants/capris, snug fitting top, tap shoes.

Session III

1/8/20 - 2/12/20

Lets be a Swan....Ballet

This session will cover basic Ballet technique. I’ll incorporate a barre/center warm up, move to progressions (across the floor) and end the class with a combination. I hope to add on to the combination each week, so by the end of the session, the group will have a full dance routine completed, approx 1 1/2 minutes long.

Students will work on and increase flexibility, strength, balance, turnout, ease of movement and memory choreography).
Attire is comfortable clothing, yoga pants/capris, snug fitting top, ballet shoes or you may dance in socks.

Session IV

3/11/20 - 4/22/20 (Session is 7 weeks due to Spring Break week 4/6/20 - 4/10/20)

It’s a Jazz Thing.......Again

This session will cover basic/intermediate Jazz technique. This session will be a continuation of the first session. We’ll move onto more complex movements. I’ll incorporate a barre/center warm up, move to progressions (across the floor) and end the class with a combination. I hope to add on to the combination each week, so by the end of the session, the group will have a full dance routine completed, approx 1 1/2 minutes long.

Students will work on and increase flexibility, strength, ease of movement and memory (choreography).
Attire is comfortable clothing, yoga pants/capris, snug fitting top, jazz shoes or you may dance in socks.

Remember, I would love to have the adults perform in recital. It won’t be a huge production. Something simple. and easy to learn. YOU will decide which genre it will be.
