Mini Company Information

(Must have completed Kindergarten in the 2017-2018 school year)

We are so excited to be offering a Mini Dance Company this year with our Pep & Pizzazz Company!  This is for dancers ages 8 and up who want to do more than just dance once a week in their dance class.  Dancers need to have at 6 months to a year of dance experience to audition for the Company.  Evaluations will be held (after signups) to determine routine placement. Company kids will have many opportunities to perform throughout our dance year!!  This will also include a few competitions throughout the year. Our Company kids will participate in the group competition dances and can also compete solos or duos if they want to!  Our training will begin in July as we focus on polishing the required skills for auditions. In the Fall we will begin choreography for our routine. We will plan to complete once in March, April, and May.  It is important that Company kids can commit to both their technique classes and their rehearsal times. Company kids will also receive various perks at Pep & Pizzazz such as discounted prices on workshops!

 

Requirements:

• 6 months to a year of dance training at Pep & Pizzazz

• Class Requirements:

  • Mini Company Tap & Jazz & Rehearsal Tuesday 6:00

  • Mini Company Ballet Monday 5:30

• Students must be committed to technique classes AND company rehearsal times.

 

Other Available Classes:

• Acro (Ages 6-12)

• Hip Hop (Ages 6-12)

• Lyrical/Contemporary (Ages 8 & up)

Junior Company Information  – Ages 8-12

(Must turn 8 by December 31, 2018)

  • Tuesday 5:15-5:15 Ballet 2 (ages 8-11)

  • Wednesday 4:00-5:00 Company Rehearsal

Senior Company Information  

 (Ages 12 and up)

 

We are so excited for season 2 with our Dazzling Waves Company within Pep & Pizzazz!  This is for dancers ages 12 and up who want to do more than just dance once a week in their dance class.  Dancers need to have at 6 months to a year of dance experience to audition for the Company.  Evaluations will be held (after signups) to determine routine placement. Company kids will have many opportunities to perform throughout our dance year!!  This will also include a few competitions throughout the year. Our Company kids will participate in the group competition dances and can also compete solos or duos if they want to!  (All competition soloists/duos must be company students). Our training will begin in July as we focus on polishing the required skills for auditions. In the Fall we will begin choreography for our routine.  We will plan to compete 3-4 times in the Spring and then travel in the summer to a dance event! It is important that Company kids can commit to both their technique classes and their rehearsal times. Company kids will also receive various perks at Pep & Pizzazz such as discounted prices on workshops!   

Signups:

• Signups will begin on July 12th!  Everyone must be signed up by evaluations on August 15th.

 

Requirements:

• 6 months to a year of dance training at Pep & Pizzazz (or approval to join after evaluation of knowledge and level of dance skill)

 

• Class Requirements:

  • Tuesday 7:30 – Next Level Jazz

  • Wednesday 5:00 – Company Rehearsals

  • Thursday 5:00 – Next Level Ballet

  • Choice between Acro Ages 12 & Up, Next Level Tap, or Lyrical/Contemporary

    • Acro – Tuesday 6:15

    • Next Level Tap – Tuesday 8:30

    • Lyrical/Contemporary Thursday 7:00

  • Students must be committed to technique classes AND company rehearsal times.
