DANCE INSTRUCTOR
Brittney Sanchez
Hello! I'm Ms. Brittney, and I teach Hip Hop at Pep & Pizzazz!
Originally from California, I started out training in gymnastics and cheer before falling in love with dance. I went on to train in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop. Throughout middle and high school, I competed on both school and studio dance teams, earning several USA national titles along the way.
After high school, I had the opportunity to work as a backup dancer for a local celebrity artist and continued my training with a contemporary dance company under the direction of Martha Kelly Fierro. I was also part of a traveling adult hip hop troupe, performing at events, schools, and festivals throughout California. Those experiences helped shape my love for performance, creativity, and the energy that makes hip hop such a fun and exciting style.
I love sharing that passion with my students, but for me, dance is about so much more than learning choreography. It's an opportunity for students to build confidence, express themselves, work hard, and discover the joy that comes from movement and music. I especially love watching students step outside their comfort zones, try something new, and realize they're capable of more than they imagined.
When I'm not teaching at Pep, you'll usually find me with my family! My husband and I are singer-songwriters, and we love performing together at local events, festivals, and community gatherings. Some of our favorite performances include our daughters, making music a true family adventure. During the day, I also work in our family's business and spend lots of time cheering on our girls in all of their activities.
Being part of Pep & Pizzazz is such a blessing because it gives me the opportunity to combine my love of dance, music, and mentoring the next generation. Every class is a chance to encourage students, celebrate their progress, and help them grow in confidence.
